Our Aim At The Vintage Model Boat Company
We manufacture and supply for the model boat enthusiast and associated industry. We are in the process of making the most comprehensive range of model boat kits, fittings and products. As we are primarily engineers from the formula one industry we seek new and innovative methods of production to reduce our labour costs so therefore we can pass this saving on to our customers without any reduction in quality. We design and have famous designs from the vintage 1950 era. Also we specialize in recreating the golden era of model boats kits that have been bought into the twenty first century. We cater for the complete novice, young and mature, to the avid enthusiasts.
The Aerokit Range
The Aerokit boat range was first introduced by Les Rowell in the 1950`s. He produced a range of kits which sold in their thousands as he had a way of capturing the look and style of boats in their hay day. In 1981 the Firth family bought Lesro models from Les which was moved down to Christchurch and is still a thriving model shop to this day. With thanks to Ken and Daryl Firth of Lesro models Christchurch, we are able to reproduce this lovely range of kits which we have bought into the twenty first century by tweaking the designs and with the use of laser technology we can bring you a high quality product at a realistic price.
